A heart-wrenching tragedy struck the western coast of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, as a massive wave crashed onto the shore, pulling four individuals into the ocean, resulting in their untimely deaths. One person remains unaccounted for. Initial reports from authorities confirmed three fatalities, raising alarms and calls for caution amidst ongoing beach activities.

The incident took place shortly after 4 PM at one of the favored natural pools in Los Gigantes, located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. At that moment, many visitors were enjoying their time on the rocks or splashing in the water when an unexpected and powerful wave surged toward them, dragging several people into the depths. According to emergency services, the chaotic waters swept away multiple victims, including tourists who had traveled from abroad.

Rescue efforts involved a sea rescue helicopter, which managed to save one individual, while tragically, another was retrieved but pronounced dead. As per the latest information, the casualties include two men and a woman, aged 35 and 55 respectively. The fourth victim, another woman, was revived and airlifted to a hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. Current reports do not confirm whether any of the deceased are German nationals.
