Greene was once a close MAGA ally but grew frustrated during Trump’s second term over his reluctance to release the Epstein files and his foreign policy shifts. The rift reportedly led Trump to call her a “traitor” and, in November 2025, threaten to endorse an opponent for her 2026 primary; she later resigned from Congress.

Talking third party

After announcing on June 22 she’s “done” with the Republican Party, Greene told Morgan she could work with figures like Tucker Carlson to try to form an "America-focused" third party, while admitting launching one would be difficult.
