The house includes a dramatic dining area with a long table that fits up to 27 guests and a six‑bed bunk room — ideal when Smulders hosted 18 friends and relatives. She admits she can’t stop inviting people to visit.
Interior highlights include an aged steel staircase, soaring ceilings and wide windows framing lake views. Outside, the cabin features a raw steel roof and olive‑green wood siding, blending modern lines with natural surroundings.
Smulders and Killam met in 2005 and married in 2012 at Alisal Guest Ranch. The couple, who also live in California, share two daughters: Shaelyn (born May 16, 2009) and Janita (around January 2015).
