Wonder won an Oscar in 1985 for Best Song for "I Just Called to Say I Love You," collected multiple Grammys including a Lifetime Achievement honor, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, named a UN Messenger of Peace in 2009 and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014.

Family and recent years

Married three times, he is father to nine children — including Aisha and Keita — and shares two youngest, Zaiah and Nyah, with wife Tomeeka Robyn Morris. He released "Can We Fix Our Nation's Broken Heart" in August 2024, returned for special performances like a Motown tribute at the 2023 Grammys and headlined the 2025 Lytham Festival. He also performed a tribute at the February 2026 funeral for Rev. Jesse Jackson.
